All organizations benefit from great leadership, and at Pack 205 we are proud to have some of the very best adult volunteers to help create our curriculum and guide our Scouts through adventures, growth, and advancement. All of our leaders are BSA trained and thoroughly background checked. See the bottom of the page for open positions within our pack.
The Pack Membership Chair is responsible for promoting the growth of a Cub Scout Pack. This includes organizing an annual census to track and recruit cubs, developing recruitment plans in partnership with the pack committee, and helping to re-integrate cubs who have dropped out of the program.
The role of the Cub Scout Pack Activities Chair is to help plan and arrange for outdoor activities, such as campouts, hikes, and trips. The Activities Chair arranges for property, fire, and tour permits when required. They also arrange for safe transportation when needed, as well as plan first aid for emergencies.
The Public Relations Chair of a Cub Scout Pack plays an important role in helping the pack thrive. They are responsible for identifying and promoting service projects within the pack's chartered organization, school and community. They should also encourage family participation in all pack events and suggest ways of showing an interest in the chartered organization's overall program.
As the Pack Secretary, you play an important role in making sure that all the paperwork related to Cub Scouts is organized and up-to-date. You are responsible for taking minutes at all Pack Committee meetings and distributing them in a timely fashion. You also send out notices to the members of the Pack, whether by mail or email, informing them of upcoming Pack events and Committee meetings.
We meet weekly during the traditional school year. We invite you and your child to come out to a den meeting for their potential den and see how you and your child likes the experience!
