Our Leader(s)

Jason Stanley

Jason Stanley is the Arrow of Light Den Leader for Cub Scout Pack 205. He was a proud member of Scouting in his youth and was delighted to be back when his two children, first Kemp, then Garet, joined. Jason has been a Den Leader since 2019, having watched Kemp progress from being a Lion to his current rank of AOL.

Jason is an active member of his community and enjoys helping children learn valuable life skills through Scouting activities like camping, hiking, and community service. He emphasizes the importance of teamwork to his Scouts and believes that through Scout’s values of trustworthiness, helpfulness, and kindness that he can help instill worthy values in the Scouts under his care.

Jason is dedicated to making sure that his Scouts have a safe, enjoyable and rewarding experience in Scouting. He encourages them to strive for excellence and be their best selves, both on and off the trail.

We spend the scout year completing adventures and earning belt loops, the keys to rank advancement. The adventures on this page are the required activities for this rank. In addition one elective adventure must be completed. The elective is determined by the den leader as part of their curriculum planning. Outdoor Adventure

This adventure immerses Scouts in the wonders of the outdoors. Scouts learn essential outdoor skills, practice Leave No Trace principles, and engage in outdoor activities such as camping, hiking, and cooking. The adventure encourages a connection with nature, fosters teamwork, and instills a love for the outdoors as Scouts explore and appreciate the natural world.

Scouting Adventure

The Scouting Adventure adventure introduces Scouts to the broader world of Scouting. They delve into the history, traditions, and values of Scouting. Scouts participate in a campout, experience a Scoutmaster conference, and explore the meaning of the Scout Oath and Law. This adventure serves as a transition towards the Boy Scout program, preparing Scouts for the next phase of their Scouting journey.

Duty to God in Action

Emphasizing the spiritual aspect of Scouting, this adventure encourages Scouts to explore their own beliefs and the importance of duty to God. Scouts participate in discussions, activities, and service projects that help them understand and live the principles of their faith. It reinforces the core value of reverence and the Scout's duty to honor their religious beliefs.

Building a Better World

This adventure focuses on citizenship and community involvement. Scouts engage in activities that promote understanding, cooperation, and responsibility within their community. They learn about different cultures, explore ways to make a positive impact, and work towards building a better world through collaboration and service.

Spookoree 2024: A Weekend of Halloween Fun!
