David Crowley

Cubmaster

David Crowley has a long and proud history of involvement in scouting. He was first introduced to the Cub Scout program at age 7, and achieved his rank of Arrow of Lightjust four years later. It wasn't long before David began to develop a passion for the outdoors and Scouting, something that would form the basis for his lifelong commitment to the movement. David's dedication to Scouting led him to pursue the highest rank of Eagle, completing both the Cub Scout and Boy Scout programs.

After achieving this honorable accomplishment, he decided it was time for him to give back. In 2015, with the help of his local council, David founded Pack 205 in Apex, North Carolina. Since then, David has worked hard to ensure the success of his pack, and has overseen great growth of the Pack during his tenure. David Crowley is an exemplary leader and mentor for Pack 205. His knowledge of Scouting, leadership experience, and enthusiasm for being outdoors make him the perfect choice as Cubmaster. He is passionate about teaching the next generation to appreciate mission and values of Scouting.

Cubmaster

This adult helps plan and carry out the pack program with the help of the pack committee. He or she emcees the monthly pack meeting and attends pack committee meetings Is one of the Cub Scout Pack Key 3 leadership positions. The leader of the pack meeting is the Cubmaster. In addition to serving as the master of ceremonies the Cubmaster provides support to Den Leaders.

Qualifications

  • Be a U.S. citizen at least 21 years of age, appointed by the chartered organization and registered as an adult leader of the BSA.
  • A person of good character, familiar with organization procedures, with a deep concern for the pack's success.
  • Completes and maintains up-to-date position specific training and Youth Protection Training (YPT).

Responsibilities

  • Conducting the Pack program which includes leading the monthly Pack meeting, with the help of the other leaders.
  • Guiding, supporting, motivating, and giving inspiration to the other adult leaders.
  • Making sure leaders receive training for their positions.
  • Making sure the Dens are functioning well.
  • Planning the Den and Pack programs with the help of the other leaders.
  • Coordinating the total Cub Scout program for the Pack.
  • Helping recruit Den Leaders and Coaches.
  • Establishing and maintaining good relationships with area Boy Scout Troops, to help Webelos continue into Boy Scouting as they graduate from the Pack.
