The Bear Den learns basic tools skills!

The Bear Den of Cub Scouts Pack 205 in Apex, North Carolina recently had a blast learning basic tool skills. Nathan, Kemp, Ethan, Kevin, Kaelyn, Josh, Emmett, Luke, Liam and Logan worked hard to earn their Baloo the Builder adventure. It was an exciting experience as they learned how to saw wood, measure accurately with a ruler and build something with a hammer and drill!

Throughout their training the Cub Scouts showed enthusiasm for learning these new skills and welcomed any opportunity to get creative with building projects. Even though it took lots of patience and focus from each Scout (and plenty of guidance from their leader!), at the end of it all they were proud to have worked towards earning this Cub Scout Adventure.  

Knowing how to utilize wood for crafting delightful and practical objects is a commendable talent for everyone, especially Bear Scouts! This expedition will introduce them to proper usage of hand tools, as well as the knowledge of which types of wood are suited for a certain project, and ultimately aid in constructing it.  

Who knows? Maybe the Cub Scouts of Pack 205 will continue to explore their handiness and take part in more adventures such as this one! Keep up the good work, Cub Scouts! We can’t wait to see what other skills the Cub Scouts of Pack 205 acquire as they reach for their next adventure. Go Cub Scouts!
